Do you rent out individual apartments?

Our main focus is on entire buildings but we do have few individual apartments. All of our apartments need to have a full rental permission in category 2

I only have homestay permit (heimagistingarleyfi). Can you rent out my apartment?

We only service apartments with rental permission in category 2

What qualifications do I need to fulfill in order to get a property license?

Can you help me provide the property license for my properties?

We can apply for you for a low fee, but it is the landslord’s responsibility to make sure the property fulfills all the requirements.

What is the difference between a property management company and rental pages like Airbnb and Vrbo?

A property management company is a local company that takes care of the property and makes sure everything is as it should be. Pages like Airbnb, booking.com and Vrbo are online marketplaces that rent apartments from us. We list our properties on all the main OTA’s and on our dedicated Heimaleiga booking page.

What are your fees?

Our fees depend on the service levels, size and location of the properties. Please contact us for further information.

Can I get an overview of my property bookings?

Yes you can. As Heimaleiga’s customer you’ll get access to your owners portal.

There you can see all bookings, income and statistics for your properties in a simple layout. We’ll also send you regular reports with more detailed information about your booking status.

Do I need to do anything before handing my property over to Heimaleiga?

Before we take on any apartaments, the property needs to be fully furnished and ready for rental, so we can then do our part and provide the best service to our customers. We can also give you personalized recommendations depending on your property type.
