1. Payment Policy: All reservations must be paid in full 5 days prior to check-in using a credit or debit card. Payment is based on the selected rate plan. If you choose the Non-refundable rate, Heimaleiga will charge the full amount at the time of booking.
Cash payments are not accepted as our properties utilize self-check-in. All payments must be made in Euros. Heimaleiga reserves the right to deny access to the apartments if payment has not been received.

2. Rate Policy: The rates confirmed at the time of reservation are final and cannot be altered unless otherwise agreed upon by Heimaleiga.

3. Cancellation Policy: Non-refundable reservations are not refundable under any circumstances. Standard reservations are charged 5 days in advance and cannot be refunded within 5 days of the arrival date. Cancellations must be submitted in writing and are only valid once confirmed by Heimaleiga.

4. Last-Minute Cancellations: Cancellations made up to 3 days before arrival due to unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account significant factors affecting the property.

5. Force Majeure: Heimaleiga, including all associated hotels and apartments, is not liable for any changes or cancellations due to events beyond our control. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, terrorist activities, adverse weather conditions, strikes, lockouts, riots, wars, volcanic activity, and other similar occurrences.

6. ID and Credit Card Verification: We reserve the right to request identification and credit card verification for security purposes. If these are not provided upon request, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. By making a reservation, you agree to be fully responsible for all charges, fees, taxes, and any other amounts related to your reservation, including any additional taxes and fees not included in the quoted rate.

7. Minimum age requirement: The primary guest on the reservation must be at least 18 years old. Children below the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

8. Apartment Access: Heimaleiga reserves the right to enter your apartment without permission in urgent situations. For non-emergency situations, Heimaleiga will provide advance notice before entering the property.

9. Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed in our hotel rooms or apartments.

10. Party and Event Policy: No parties or events are permitted in our hotel rooms or apartments.

11. Lost property: Lost and found items will remain at Heimaleiga’s premises for a period of three months. To claim any lost and found items, a guest should first contact Heimaleiga.  Guests are responsible for all international shipping costs associated with returning lost items.

12. Non-Smoking Policy: All properties are strictly non-smoking. A 200 EUR fine will be imposed for any violations.

13. Fire Alarm Policy: Fire alarms in Iceland are very sensitive. Please use ventilation or open a window while cooking to avoid triggering the alarm. A 100 EUR fine may be charged if the alarm is set off.

14. Lost Keys/Access Items: A charge up to 100 EUR will be applied for any lost keys or other access-related items to cover a replacement.

15.  Check-Out Policy: If the hotel room or apartment is not vacated by the specified check-out time, Heimaleiga reserves the right to charge a fee and deactivate the access code. The amount will depend on the duration of the stay beyond the check-out time.

16. Policy Violation: Heimaleiga reserves the right to impose a fine of up to 300 EUR for violations of our rental policies, such as property damage, leaving the apartment in poor condition and other policies stated above.
